Forbes on Johnny's Five Self-Portrait

On Thursday 20th of July, Johnny shared his Five self-portrait with the world. The painting was expertly printed onto silkscreen prints by Castle Fine Art Gallery and individually hand-signed by Johnny (with an additional The Bunnyman emblem and embossed stamp to confirm their authenticity).

For years, Johnny quietly created artworks away from the public eye. His landmark decision to release his self-portrait, was made to inspire others to pursue their passions.

Priced at around $1,950 each ($2750 when framed), every sale donated $200 to the  charity Mental Health America. The charity was chosen in recognition of the challenges Johnny faced during his recent defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard. The sale lasted for thirteen days (his favourite number- he even has it tattooed on his arm!)

Five took form in 2021 whilst Johnny was navigating a pathway to self-healing. The painting was named 'Five' during 2023, to mark five years after Heard published an article that alleged abuse and led to subsequent legal proceedings. In an interview for the release, he called this period of time “The Madness”.
